Will Brink: Writer, Researcher, Trainer, Consultant, Trainer of high levels athletes, police, and military personnel:

My name is Will Brink and welcome to the OptimalSWAT web site. At one time I had a good reputation for getting high level bodybuilders into top shape for competition or getting them ever larger in the off season. That spun off to other athletes, such as golfers, runners, Olympic track athletes, and others.

A lot of my clients were actually trainers who wanted to learn more and improve their knowledge about the business they were in, as well as medical professionals and dietitians who were interested in sports nutrition and other health related issues. I also work with police departments and SWAT/Special Ops members focused on performance and health of these specialized units. See the Testimonial page regarding a seminar I did for a Regional Level SWAT/RRT team.

As an avid shooter and trainer, another service I perform for tactical law enforcement is fitness/exercise specific training camps. See video section and training section for additional information.

Currently, I am an adjunct trainer for Smith & Wesson with two courses planned for the spring and fall of 2009 at the S&W Training Academy .

Interested parties can contact me via the contact links on the site.

I recently designed a supplement specifically for Special Operations and SWAT which is being used by operators in various SWAT teams nation -wide and is gaining popularity with various members of the nations top SpecOps teams. The product has been used and field tested in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other locals. An article published in an issue of Special Operations Technology (SOTECH Volume: 3 Issue:7 Oct 02, 2005) covers the product briefly.

Research, etc…

I maintain an extensive network of scientists, researchers, medical doctors, athletes, tactical LEO and SOF, and just general research freaks that I am in constant contact with. Many of the articles I have written in that past were co-authors with various scientist friends and I always enjoy making new contacts with researchers, trying to be of help in their search for answers regarding nutrition and other endeavors. Although I don't consider myself a researcher in the classic sense (as I don't work at a research oriented lab) I have been involved in some research or review, including:
