This course combines functional exercise stages with specific shooting rotations designed to challenge the shooters ability to effectively engage targets under physically and mentally stressful conditions.
Focus is on functional strength, stages that test bodyweight to strength ratios, dealing with unbalanced loads, and conditioning and strength, combined with shooting rotations designed to test - and ultimately improve - performance and shooting under extreme physical stress. Exercise stages will stress both the aerobic and anaerobic energy systems which directly impact shooting abilities.
Shooting stages will stress shooting on the move, use of cover, shooting under low light conditions, combat mindset, multiple target engagement, dynamic live fire drills and assessment outdoors, indoors, and use of Simunitions in a CQB setting. Shooting stages will stress close to intermediate range using the handgun.
This training is particularly applicable to tactical law enforcement, where functional strength and conditioning combined with effective shooting under physical and mental stress is an essential component to unit success and survival.
Creative functional strength modalities are combined with shooting drills. These drills are specific to the demands and requirements of SWAT/RRT, SOF, and other groups and or individuals where the ability to shoot under extreme physical and metal stress is an essential component to survival.
Classroom time will cover the physiology of stress and the mind and body's response to stress with discussion on how to counter the stress response as well as discussions on nutrition, training, and related topics for optimizing performance, health and fitness.
This course is open to all law enforcement, military and security officers.
Participants should be cleared for moderate to intense exercise by their doctor and/or department. They should have a minimum standard of fitness for moderate to intense exercise. Being able to complete 20 push ups, 10 chin ups, and be able to run 1 mile as minimum fitness standard is highly recommended for this course.

Advanced Applied Stress Shooting Level II builds on the skills and lessons learned in Level I.
As with Level I, this course combines functional exercise stages with specific shooting rotations designed to challenge the shooter's ability to effectively engage targets under physically and mentally stressful conditions. Both exercise stages and shooting rotations are more difficult and complex than Level I, and advanced level shooting skills and high level of fitness are essential. Level II also adds carbine stages.
