Mr. Daniels is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces (SF) Sergeant First Class with over 16 years of documented success in Special Forces leadership and management roles.
Mr. Daniels has extensive knowledge of Small Unit Tactics and combat shooting skills. He has extensive experience in protective security training and operations in a high threat environment with 3 years cumulative time in Iraq. Mr. Daniels was Combat Shooting Skills instructor in the Commander in Chief (in Extremis Force) Charlie Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) for 5 years.
While in the CIF, Mr. Daniels deployed to over 15 different courses while teaching Counter Terrorism skills in English and in Spanish. These courses were taught to the Tier I Army and Police units of each respective country. |

For the last ten years, John has been helping a vast array of clients, ranging from general fitness buffs to professional athletes, achieve and exceed their personal goals. In 2006 John co-founded Excel Sport & Fitness in Waltham, Massachusetts (
www.excelstrength.com ) to fulfill his continuing desire of helping bring his clients to the pinnacle of their potential.
John has completed certifications with nationally recognized organizations including the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), United States Weightlifting (USAW) and the International Sport Sciences Association (ISSA). In addition, he is a Poliquin International Certification Program (PCIP) Level I Trainer and a Z-Health Level I Certified Trainer. John draws upon a combination scientific research and countless hours of hands on experience to bring clients the most practical and result producing training programs available.
In addition to his work in the gym, John has authored training and performance related articles for websites such as T-Nation.
An athlete all his life, John excelled in several sports, in particular wrestling and martial arts. The intense training developed not only physical attributes but also his focus, determination and discipline, qualities he strives to instill in all of his clients. In 2002, seeking new competitive challenges, John entered and won his first strongman competition. Over the years John has continued his winning ways and has become the most successful 200lb. competitor ever in New England, as well as one of the top competitors in the nation. In 2007 John organized and ran the Strength Beyond Strength Strongman Challenge, a charity strongman event in Waltham. The show was a stunning success, not only drawing top competitors from all over New England but also raising money for the American Cancer Society.
John's competitive accomplishments include:

- 2004 X-Treme Strongman Showdown 2 nd Place; Overall Lightweight
